- 'As a mature student returning to full time study after a gap of 25 years I think more support should be available for us. Technology has moved on so much and being a student now is nothing like it was then. Examples are PowerPoint Presentations, packages for statistical analysis, presentation skills and graphics. . I struggled with these and achieved lower marks because I was unaware of how to crop photos into PPT slides to save time and get the best out of the presentation exams. This is one example of how I felt at a disadvantage returning to full time study. My classmates grew up with this technology and was second nature to them. I felt stupid asking fundamental questions on how to do basic stuff.'
